Class 8 History (Our Pasts-3) is the single most UPSC-relevant history NCERT. It covers the Company's conquest of India, the 1857 Revolt, tribal and peasant rebellions, social and religious reform movements (Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Jyotiba Phule), the rise of nationalism, and India's post-independence journey — all core GS1 topics. Class 8 Civics covers the Indian Constitution, Parliament, the judiciary, and laws — directly tested in GS2.
Class 8 Geography (Resource and Development) covers land, water, minerals, agriculture, industries, and human resources — essential for GS3 economics and environment.
Note on rationalized chapters: NCERT removed several chapters in 2022–23. This site covers all original chapters including removed ones.
