How these numbers are counted
What is counted
- A page view, as the URL of the page and nothing else.
- A session, meaning a visit that started after a gap of 30 minutes.
- A device, counted once, ever, the first time it opens the site.
What is not
- No cookies, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
- No names, emails, IP addresses or locations in these totals.
- No per-person history. Counters are sums, and sums cannot be unmixed.
Counts come from a first-party counter on Cloudflare D1 and are approximate: ad-blockers suppress some, so real readership runs a little higher. Full detail in the privacy policy.
